If we save the best for last,
Then we put the worst forward,
If we send in the front line first,
Then we send the back line last,
If we plan on hopes and dreams,
Then we plan on defeat and failure.

I grab a breath as earth began to quake, little did I know, it's the last i'll ever take. We end up parted, You on shore one, I on shore two, My body lay lifeless, You take your finger to the sand, and write "I'm sorry, I love you."

I think we're good.

I think we're good. I think I know what I'm doing. I think i know how to lead my life, but I have a teenager leading his better. I think I have all the answers. I think I'll have a beer. I think I understand what it takes, to stay alive in this year, I think I want to be country, I think I want a f250, I think I want to have my wife leave me, and sing songs about it, wouldn't that be nifty? I think you understand, i wrote this about another. I think you understand, that this individual is hated. I think you understand, that this poem is outdated. I think I should have wrote this, When things got at it's worst, But no one intervened, No one stopped this curse.
